Passionate about music, passion that little by little was made known both at home and at school, where he had his first approach with the public. It was his fellow students, who in a singing contest heard the voice of Juan Luis Londoño Arias with “Tengo ganas”, of the singer-songwriter Andrés Cepeda and gave the first place without problems. At age 15 he composed a song entitled “No quiero”, which surprised music producers who proposed to record an album, asking him to use a louder name, easily remembered and accepted within the followers of the urban genre. The idea of taking the first syllable of the names of the most significant people in his family is born: Marlli, his mother; Luis, his father and Manuela, his older sister. At that time, MALUMA is born.
